Securing the Future: Data Protection and Trust in AI-Enhanced E-Commerce
Keywords: E-commerce Security, Artificial Intelligence, Zero-Trust Architecture, Differential Privacy, Explainable AI.
Abstract: The integration of artificial intelligence and cloud technologies has revolutionized e-commerce personalization, enabling seamless omnichannel customer experiences while simultaneously introducing significant data security and trust challenges. This article examines the sophisticated methodologies being developed to address these concerns, focusing on secure data management within AI-driven e-commerce ecosystems. It explores critical security frameworks, including advanced cryptographic protocols, differential privacy techniques, and zero-trust architectures that fundamentally transform cybersecurity approaches from perimeter-based to identity-centric models. The article further investigates how explainable AI enhances regulatory compliance monitoring across distributed cloud environments, providing transparency for auditors while maintaining operational efficiency. Additionally, it analyzes the evolution of consumer attitudes toward data security and how forward-thinking organizations are implementing transparent communication strategies regarding their security postures. By examining these interconnected security domains, this article demonstrates how integrated security frameworks not only protect sensitive information but also serve as trust enablers, allowing e-commerce platforms to fully leverage AI capabilities while maintaining consumer confidence in an increasingly competitive digital marketplace.
