Abstract: This paper examines the current state and future prospects of political science education in Nigeria. It argues that political science education faces many challenges, such as inadequate funding, poor curriculum, low quality of teaching and research, and lack of relevance to the society. It also identifies some emerging trends and innovations that can enhance political science education, such as online learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, civic engagement, and policy-oriented research.
