Performance at PT. Kao Indonesia During the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Influence of Competency and Motivation on Employee Job Satisfaction

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of competence and motivation on employee job satisfaction which had an impact on performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. The location of the research is at PT. Kao Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. which is intended to explain the influence of competence and motivation on job satisfaction which has an impact on performance during the covid-19 pandemic PT. Kao Indonesia. The respondents were 100 employees of PT Kao Indonesia. The findings reveal that employee motivation and competence have an influence in improving the performance of PT Kao Indonesia employees. It can be concluded that these two factors are able to support the improvement of employee performance which is the most important part of an organization/company to be able to advance. For this reason, it is important to pay attention to the factors that affect employee job satisfaction through the elaboration of increasing the support of managers and promotions are needed because they are able to provide satisfaction for employees
